Zamboanga Hermosa Opening Salvo

The City Government of Zamboanga, under the leadership of our Honorable Mayor Capt. Khymer Adan T. Olaso, M.M., proudly invites everyone to witness and take part in the Opening Salvo of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2025, a celebration of faith, culture, and solidarity that will set the tone for an entire month of festivities honoring our patroness, the Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar.

The much-anticipated Parade of Lights will once again illuminate the streets of Zamboanga, bringing together the creativity and artistry of participating groups, institutions, and organizations. Expect to see a spectacular showcase of floats in every shape and size, each adorned with thousands of shimmering lights and vibrant designs, as they journey from City Hall to RT Lim Boulevard. The glowing parade will not only highlight the ingenuity of the Zamboangueño people but also symbolize the city’s spirit of hope and resilience.

For the first time in the history of the festival, the City Government has prepared a Fluvial Parade at RT Lim Boulevard, where decorated watercrafts will glide across the waters in stunning displays of lights and artistry. This unique addition to the Hermosa Festival promises to be a mesmerizing feast for the eyes that reflects Zamboanga City’s maritime heritage.

To cap off the night’s festivities, spectators will be treated to a grand fireworks display, lighting up the sky with a brilliant array of colors and patterns. The fireworks will serve as a fitting finale to the Opening Salvo, marking not just the start of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2025, but also the beginning of countless memories and experiences to be shared by locals, visitors, and tourists alike.
