PESO NATIONAL CONGRESS

Another busy day at the Zamboanga International Airport as delegates for the 24th National PESO Congress and arriving guests are welcomed to the city with a festive Dance Ensemble.

Zamboanga City has been chosen as the host for the National PESO Congress with almost 1500 delegates from all over the the nation converging in our city.

The purpose of PESO(Public Employment Services Office) is to provide employment information and assistance to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) clients and to constituents of Local Government Units (LGU) in order to assist and facilitate employment.

Of course the congress would not be complete without Zamboanga City showing its hospitality through our Mayor’s Night. The Mayor’s Night honored the delegates with a warm welcome, sharing our rich food, vibrant culture, and rich history.

The delegates enjoyed a feast that delighted both their taste buds and their eyes, savoring some of the finest cuisine Zamboanga City has to offer. They were also treated to a stunning showcase by past winners of the Mascota, who displayed their ornate and mesmerizing dresses followed by a stunning dance ensemble.
